The Faculty of Law of Aix-Marseille University, theFreedom Center of the University of Arizona andIES Europe organize a workshop with philosopher David Schmidtz and economist Cathleen Johnson, about their book at the crossroads of economics and ethics, Commercial Society, from July 8 (evening) to July 10 (evening) at the University of Aix-Marseille, Site Schuman in Aix-en-Provence.
In addition to the presentations, the meeting will offer workshops for exchange and co-creation, sessions on pedagogical techniques around the main themes of the book, as well as sessions on rhetoric and experimental economics games.
Workshop discussions will be in English.
Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful city of Aix-en-Provence where some sightseeing will be organized. They will be accommodated in hotels.
Candidates must be interested in the transmission of economic knowledge (high school teachers, business school teachers, BTS, universities…) and more particularly in themes related to freedom, institutions and ethics. They will be able to learn and share with internationally renowned professors in order to improve their teaching.
The workshop is free for participants and the hotel (Appart Hotel Odalyss ATRIUM) is taken care of by the organization for 3 nights (8, 9, 10).
