Sanford Ikeda
Professor Emeritus of Economics
Sanford Ikeda is an expert on the economy of cities, taking an Austrian School approach to the subject. He is the author of Dynamics of the Mixed Economy: Toward a Theory of Interventionism (London: Routledge, 1997) as well as articles in the Southern Economic Journal, Journal of Economics and Humane Studies, American Journal of Economics & Sociology, Cosmos + Taxis, the Review of Austrian Economics, and the Independent Review, Forbes, and others.
Alain Bertaud
Urbanist, Senior Research Scholar
Alain Bertaud is an urbanist and, since 2012, a senior research scholar at the NYU Marron Institute of Urban Management. He just completed writing a book about urban planning that is titled “Order Without Design: How Markets Shape Cities“. This book has been published by MIT Press in November 2018. Bertaud previously held the position of principal urban planner at the World Bank. After retiring from the Bank in 1999, he worked as an independent consultant. Prior to joining the World Bank, he worked as a resident urban planner in a number of cities around the world: Bangkok, San Salvador (El Salvador), Port Au Prince (Haiti), Sana’a (Yemen), New York, Paris, Tlemcen (Algeria), and Chandigarh (India).
Nils Karlson

Nils Karlson is the founding president and CEO of the Ratio institute in Stockholm, Sweden. He is an economist, a political scientist, and a professor at Linköping University, working in the fields of institutional economics, political theory, public choice, industrial relations, and constitutional political economy. Prior to founding Ratio he was the president of the City University of Stockholm.

Christopher Lingle is a Visiting Senior Fellow at AIER, Visiting Professor of Economics in the Escuela de Negocios at Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala, Research Scholar at the Centre for Civil Society (New Delhi), International Political Economic Advisor for the Asian Institute for Diplomacy and International Affairs (AIDIA – Kathmandu), International Senior Fellow at the Property Rights Institute (USA), Senior Fellow at the Center for Market Education (Malaysia), & Senior Visiting Fellow, Advocata (Colombo, Sri Lanka). His research interests are in the areas of Political Economy and International Economics with a focus on emerging market economies and public policy reform in East and Central Europe, East Asia, Latin America, and Southern Africa.
Idit Kalisher
Senior Researcher & Lecturer
Idit Kalisher is a senior researcher at the Aaron Institute for Economic Policy, Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya (IDC) and a lecturer at Ben Gurion University. Her main research and teaching expertise are labor economics and applied econometrics. Along with her work at the IDC she has developed a curriculum on economic education for children intended for parents and educational staff. She hold an MA in economics from Ben Gurion University and is about to complete her PhD in economics at Ben Gurion University
