
Dr. Jovana Diković is an economic anthropologist, Head of Sustainable Development and Inclusive Growth at CCRS, and lecturer at the Universities of St. Gallen and Fribourg. Jovana conducts research, writes and teaches on topics related to economic development and its constraints. This includes rural and agricultural development, post-conflict development, poverty reduction, emerging markets, and entrepreneurship. Her research area is primarily the Balkans, and as of recently, the DRC. Jovana is the author of two books The Laissez-Faire Peasant: Post-Socialist Rural Development in Serbia (UCL Press), Why Development Cooperation Projects Fail: A Case Study of Post-Conflict Kosovo (Springer Nature, forthcoming), and an editor of a volume Sustainability of Development Assistance: Problems, Prospects and Perspectives (CCRS). Her writings have appeared in publications aimed at the general public, such as Mises, Schweizer Monat, and Serbian weekly newspapers such as Radar, NIN, and online magazine Katalaksija.
