Karl-Friedrich Israel

Karl-Friedrich Israel is an assistant professor in the department of economics and business administration at the Université Catholique de l’Ouest in Angers, France, and visiting professor at Saarland University in Saarbrücken, Germany. I previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Economic Policy at Leipzig University. He obtained the habilitation (HDR) at the Sorbonne in Paris in 2023 for research on the concept of the neutrality of money and adverse effects of monetary policy. His broader research interests lie in the areas of macroeconomics, the history of economic thought, economic methodology, econometrics and Austrian economics.
