1. The Hayek Fellowship for Master’s Degrees in Economics is awarded to full-time master’s students who demonstrate a genuine interest in the operation of markets and the legal and political foundations of the market economy. The Hayek Fellowship is a full-tuition scholarship and covers registration and service fees. It is worth more than $50,000.  

Awardees are required to attend the weekly Colloquium on Market Institutions & Economic Processes (Mondays 2-3:30 p.m.) and to take at least two of the following courses as electives in their program of study: MA Evolution of Economic Thought, MA Monetary Theory & Policy, MA Africa in the World Economy (taught by Bill Easterly), MA Economic Development I, MA Economic Analysis of Property and Contract Law, and Rationality and Behavioral Economics (taught by Mario Rizzo).

2.  The Foundations of the Market Economy Program at the Department of Economics, New York University, is inviting applicants for a postdoctoral fellowship that spans two academic years, starting early September 2020 and lasting until the end of May 2022. 
The successful applicant must have completed the Ph.D. by August 31st, 2020. He or she should be knowledgeable about Austrian Economics and related approaches.This is a full-time research position. No teaching is required, but teaching opportunities may become available if this is desired.

Applicants should send their CV, three letters of reference, a sample of their writing and a statement of their proposed research project(s) over the course of the fellowship.
